After partaking in numerous safeguarding training courses over many years of working within childcare, we were a little apprehensive of how this will be enabled effectively with the current COVID restrictions. However, our worries were put at bay as Rachel succeeded in providing an informative and interesting course! The platform used to participate in the online training was easy to access and included quizzes which we found very useful in testing our knowledge following digesting the in-depth and current handbook provided. Following this, we were given a link to access an online zoom session with Rachel, giving us opportunities to discuss the course content and extend our knowledge further by asking questions. Overall, we thought the course was of an excellent standard and feel confident as Early Years providers that we would ultimately be able to keep children safe! Big thank-you to Rachel for the time and effort involved in creating such a brilliant course.

Frequently Asked Questions...
As lead practitioner for safeguarding and child protection in your setting you are required to attend a child protection training course. Whilst there are no mandatory requirements to complete a designated lead training course the benefits and advantages of such training enables leads to become compliant, competent and confident leaders.
The live element of the course delivered via a zoom meeting is not essential for completion of the training. You will still receive a certificate once you have completed the online elements of the course. We would highly recommend that you join us for the live session along with other colleagues and Rachel as they talk through the course content and take opportunities to ask questions.
It is very important to have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues. Training enables you to refresh your knowledge and to make sure that you are equipped to undertake the role as lead effectively. It is usually recommended that the course is renewed every two years. Safeguarding leads for schools in England are required to do this in line with expectations of the Keeping Children Safe in Education Statutory Guidance.
We will consider a discounted price for multiple purchases of the course. Please contact us directly for more details at: firstname.lastname@example.org
